The best candidates for body, chin, or facial liposuction are adults who are at or near their target weight but have stubborn, localised fat deposits that do not respond to diet and exercise. Liposuction is not a weight-loss procedure — it is a contouring procedure. During your free consultation, your surgeon will assess your skin elasticity, fat distribution, and overall health to confirm which procedure is right for you.
Body Liposuction How long is recovery after body liposuction?
Most patients return to desk work within 5–7 days and resume light activity at 2–3 weeks. Full exercise can typically resume at 4–6 weeks. Swelling reduces progressively — final contour results are fully visible at 3–6 months. A compression garment is worn for the first 4–6 weeks to support the healing tissue and optimise results.
Chin Liposuction How quickly will I see results from chin liposuction?
Initial jawline definition becomes visible within 1–2 weeks as swelling begins to subside. Full results from chin liposuction are typically apparent at 6–8 weeks. Most patients return to normal daily activity within 3–5 days. A small chin strap compression garment is worn for the first week to support the tissue and accelerate healing.
Facial Liposuction Can facial liposuction be combined with chin liposuction?
Yes — and this is a very common combination. Performing chin and facial liposuction together creates a cohesive result: a sharper jawline and more refined facial contours in a single session with one recovery period. Your surgeon will assess whether a combined approach is appropriate for your anatomy and advise accordingly during your free consultation.
All procedures Is liposuction permanent? Will the fat come back?
Yes — liposuction permanently removes fat cells from the treated area. Those specific fat cells do not return. However, if you gain significant weight after the procedure, remaining fat cells in the treated area and surrounding areas can enlarge.
